Bring an extra 350 local currency to ride the horses up instead of hiking as the trail is rather messy otherwise. Hector was communicative and set everything up custom according to my needs as I was staying in Guatemala City vs Antigua where a lot more travelers stay. What a cool experience! I actually booked three separate tours with GTM, all went smoothly! I was able to get picked up and dropped off from my airbnb. I really felt that I had a tour partner while we were in Guatemala. Hector and his group reached out to me during the week to make sure everything was good and if we needed anything. We also did a walking tour with Don Armando in Antigua however, I should have requested 2 tour guides because we had almost 18 people (baby strollers, senior citizens, etc.) and that was a little difficult to maneuver with the cobblestone streets and narrow sidewalks with that many people, but Don Armando kept things moving and interesting. As plans typically change with a large family reunion, the number of passengers going from GC to Antigua increased, and Hector had no issues with securing a larger private bus for our group.

Hector also volunteered to put car seats in the bus for the young toddlers in the group. We arranged a private Guatemala city bus tour on Sunday with Don Armando who was a lively Guatemalan for our group who showed us the sights of the City from the comfort of a private A/C bus. I highly recommend coordinating with GTM for large groups like ours, and Hector put me at ease since I had over 20 family members coming together in Guatemala, and I lived in the States. Hector was amazing to work with and was always so accommodating with our group's ever-changing needs. I reached out to Hector with GTM Tour Guide and Travel Services a couple of months before a large family reunion in Guatemala City and Antigua to help me coordinate a tour itinerary and private transportation from GC to Antigua and back.
